Will Mithen

Psychologist and Behaviour Support Practitioner

Will is a registered psychologist in private practice who completed his Masters working as a behaviour support practitioner for an NDIS provider. He has a special interest in complex intersectional diagnoses (i.e. dual diagnoses where the strategies that help one disorder may exacerbate another). Previously he worked for 20 years in the human services including as a behaviour support consultant and trainer, managing community residential units for children who engage in behaviour of concern, and as CEO of a not-for-profit which provided services for people with complex behavioural disabilities.

Tom Mithen

BHlthSc, Dip. Ed

Behaviour Support Practitioner

Tom trained as a teacher following a Bachelor of Health Sciences where he majored in psychology and disability. He has worked in both the mainstream and special education systems, including as a behaviour support and mental health lead. Previous to this, Tom gained extensive experience across forensic disability and mental health support, specialist support coordination with complex NDIS clients, and a range of support work roles in residential units, youth work, respite and other modes of service delivery. 

Emily Walter

Behaviour Support Practitioner

Emily Walter has an exceptional talent for human services work; driven by deep empathy, a commitment to humanising everyone she meets, and a great capacity for thoughtful, intelligent insight into the lives and dreams of others. In her 25 years years working in disability support, program development, leadership training and volunteering on camps for children with complex behavioural needs, she has gained valuable experience doing behavioural assessments and developing behaviour support plans, with a deep knowledge in both the theory and practice of Positive Behaviour Support. Currently completing her Bachelor of Counselling, Emily is a deep thinker, is emotionally intuitive and is highly creative in her engagement style.

Stephanie Miu

Provisional Psychologist and Behaviour Support Practitioner

Steph is a provisional psychologist who has completed her Master’s in Professional Psychology and is currently undertaking her 1 year internship to achieve general registration. With experience in primary school settings, she has worked with neurodiverse children, as well as those experiencing anxiety and behavioural challenges. In addition to working directly with children, Steph has also collaborated with their families, offering guidance to help them better support their children's development and well-being. Steph is dedicated to working across the lifespan, helping individuals reach their personal goals and improve their overall well-being.

Bina Valakuzhy

BA-Psych, M HRM

Behaviour Support Practitioner

With a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and a master’s degree in human resource management, Bina’s passion for people began from a very young age, and at just 10 years old, she knew that her life’s calling was to become a psychologist. She holds particular interest in criminal psychology and working with people in the justice system. The many years of working with people from different walks of life, and most recently, being in training and education has provided her with an in-depth understanding of human behaviour. A highly intuitive person who believes that kindness is a superpower, she is also currently pursuing a diploma in counselling to further hone her skills and create lasting connections with everyone she meets.
